Eve Bodeux to Present at 54th American Translators Conference in San Antonio, TX

Eve Bodeux will be presenting on two topics at the 54th American Translators Conference to be held November 6 – 9, 2013, in San Antonio, TX. Professionals in the language industry come from around the US and around the world to network, attend educational sessions and enjoy other conference activities.

Eve is a 20-year industry veteran with extensive experience in project management for high-volume, multilingual localization projects. She also speaks French fluently and translates professionally from French to English.

Presentation #1: Tips and Tricks for Maintaining French-Language Skills When You Don’t Live in France

Raising her children bilingually and living in France at various times over the years (most recently in 2012), Eve was inspired to present on how to  maintain French language skills for personal and professional fulfillment.

If you live outside a French-speaking country and use your language skills professionally, you need to retain your French reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills at a high level. Eve will address new ways to maintain French competency as well as revisit various traditional methods. Audience participation is encouraged from this group of seasoned professionals.

Presentation #2: Two Sides of a Coin: Two Perspectives of Software Localization – The Project Manager & The Translator Working Together
Friday, November 8 at 2:30 p.m. at #ata54

Playing the role of the Project Manager for this presentation and in real life, Eve will present with Tess Whitty of Swedish Translation Services, who shares her knowledge from working as a translator on many localization projects.

Localization is a team effort between the client, the project management team and the translators, as well as others. Come hear tips for making your involvement in a localization project a success, from the project manager’s point of view as well as from the translator’s perspective.
