Eve was interviewed on the Make Books Travel Podcast. Interviewed by host Marleen Seegers, Eve discussed the challenges and rewards of being a French to English Translator and the state of translated literature in the United States. She touched on the history and activities of the American Translators Association and discussed payment structures for translators within the publishing industry.
Eve’s book recommendations during the interview included Natalia Ginzburg’s Family Lexicon (translated from the Italian by Jenny McPhee; NYRB Classics, 2017) and Bess Kalb’s Nobody Will Tell You This But Me: A true (as told to me) story (Knopf, 2020), Sayaka Murata’s Convenience Store Woman (translated from the Japanese by Ginny Tapley Takemori; Grove Press, 2018) and Fredrik Backman’s A Man Called Ove: A Novel (translated from the Swedish by Henning Koch; Atria Books, 2014).
