Tips on Writing for Translation
Download the International English Manual written by Mable Amador and Yvonne Keller of the Los Alamos National Laboratory, that is free for public use. I came across this document several years ago and have linked to it as a resource ever since. Though originally intended to help users write business documents for non-native speakers of English, its tips are equally valid for those writing documents that will be translated. Starting with a well-crafted source document always leads to a better and more cost-effective translation.
